The black-painted 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition model built by MSO and inspired by the McLaren F1 GTR is a real beauty. Its design has been updated and it never looked better.
Exterior and Interior Design Changes
Changes on the 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition are made by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). These include a new front splitter, side blades, rear bumper with integrated diffuser, all made of visual carbon fiber, louvered front fenders, MSO roof snorkel, unique branded car cover, carbon-fiber spoiler, large side intakes, new mirror caps finished in carbon fiber. The car rides on a set of the MSO forged five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Behind the wheels you can notice high-performance orange brake calipers. The supercar is painted in a black or possibly a dark gray hue.
The interior also receives a redesign, although to a lesser extent. As you can see in the photo below, the 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition now features a combination of black leather and Alcantara. The dashboard is almost all covered in these materials, the steering wheel is also wrapped in Alcantara, there are unique floor mats, while the center console and door panels feature some carbon-fiber accents. A new set of branded seats is available covered in black leather and McLaren Orange Alcantara in center. The infotainment system is also presented.
Engine, Specs, Performance
The British automaker didn’t reveal if there are any engine upgrades. The F1 GTR-inspired 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition is probably powered by the same 3.8L turbocharged V-8 engine like the regular model, producing 640 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. This unit is paired with a dual-clutch 7-speed auto transmission. The base models top speed is 207 miles per hour, and its 0-to-60 mph time is rated at 2.9 seconds.
2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition Price
There is going to be only 50 units of the 2015 McLaren 650S Limited Edition manufactured. Exact pricing will be revealed on a later date. Given that the standard coupe is priced at $265,500 and that this new F1 GTR-inspired model receives many body and interior updates, we can assume that its price will be more than 300 thousand dollars. There won’t be open-top variants.
