The new 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which is also known as the Ford Mondeo in European markets, is designed in saloon body style with the C/D architecture. The car has seen a delay of 2 to 3 years after it was first unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in the year 2012. But, with its fine build and excellent features, it is expected to overcome the losses and become a huge success in the international market. Hybrid Engine and Fuel Consumption

The 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid is powered by a 1.4 kWh Lithium-Ion battery having a peak power of about 35 kW. It supports a 88 kW permanent magnet AC synchronous motor which allows the vehicle to achieve a top speed of 85 mph. As for the power unit, the car has a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle I-4 Hybrid Engine paired with a transmission system of Electronic Continuously Variable (eCVT) type, transferring the power to the front wheels. The engine is capable of producing a power of 141 hp boosted by the EEC-V engine electronics. It also produces a torque of about 129 lb-ft. The car has a sequential multiport electronic fuel injection and a single exhaust with bright tip. The engine block and cylinder are made of cast aluminium.

The Ford Mondeo is one of the cleanest cars with very less CO2 emissions as compared to other cars. It is capable of reaching 0 to 60 mph in only 7.5 seconds and has a fuel consumption of about 70 mpg. It gives an estimated EPA rating of 44 mpg in cities, 41 mpg on highways, and around 42 mpg combined. It is said to reach around 85 mph on electric power alone, while its fuel tank capacity is about 13.5 cu-ft.

Wheel Specifications and Warranty

The sedan supports 17 inches, 15 spokes, aluminium painted wheels. The wheel base is about 112.2 inches. The new Ford Mondeo Hybrid has a front suspension in the form of Short-long-arm design with stabilizer bar and MacPherson struts for the front shocks. The rear suspension is in the form of an independent multi-link and the rear shocks are twin-tube, gas pressurized. The car has power disc brakes on the front as well as rear wheels with Anti-lock Bakes system. The steering is electric power assisted. There is a maximum seating capacity of 5 available in this car. The company offers a warranty of 5 years for corrosion and roadside assistance program.
