2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition Review

The 2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition will be available only in the U.S. for the price of $87,575. However, it doesn’t bring any significant updates compared to the standard model. Now, let’s see what the latest Audi model has to offer.

2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition

Exterior and Interior Design

The new model rides on the 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. Behind those you can notice the crimson red brake calipers, which match to the interior colors. The body is painted in the so called Daytona Gray Pearl, but if a customer don’t like it, there are some optional color options available, such as an exclusive Nardo Gray paint. The 2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition doesn’t feature many exterior changes. What we can notice is a little bit different design of the air intakes and already mentioned set of wheels, but the rest of the car seams pretty much the same to us.

The interior received some minor changes as well. The 2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition now comes with black and red 12-way power seats wrapped in leather with contrast stitching. Crimson red can also be found on the door panels, but the rest of the cabin is mostly black. The dashboard features a color display which can be used to setup the MMI Navigation and display maps. It also supports the driver assistance pack.

Engine, Specs, Performance

The 2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition comes with a naturally aspirated 4.2L FSI gasoline engine, so no changes there compared to the standard model. This unit can deliver 450 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque to the both axles via a 7-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission (quattro AWD system). This power will be good to let the car accelerate from the point of rest to the 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Its top speed is estimated at 174 mph.

This sports coupe will be built for the North American market only. The 2015 Audi RS5 Coupe Sport Edition will come in limited numbers. There is going to be only 75 units available for the price tag of $87,575. Given that it hasn’t been changed much compared to the standard model, we don’t see a strong reason for you to buy it. The base model is priced at $70,900.
