It also comes with an impressive Alpine premium sound system complete with four speakers, tweeters and a sub-woofer.
Engine, Specs, Performance
Under the hood of the new Wrangler lies a 3.6-liter V6 engine. This power unit is the Pentastar engine capable of generating up to 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It does not only provide power, but also comes with an impressive fuel economy rating of 17 mpg within the city and 21 mpg on the highway. Apart from the engine, it packs a few features that make it the most appropriate machine to take with you on an adventure in the wild. These include: the Command-Trac 4WD system that ensures all the four wheels receive equal power from the engine as you drive through the rough terrain. A Rock-Trac 4WD system also provides a lower gear ratio that drastically reduces the vehicle’s speed, but give it more torque to get you through the roughest terrains.
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler has an intelligent hill decent control system that monitors its speed, controlling its throttle and brake to give smoother decent down steep slopes. It also has a hill start system that leaves the brakes applied for a few seconds after you take your foot off the brake pedal giving you a little time to accelerate, this stops the vehicle from rolling backwards as you set off. Other features include a sway bar disconnect system that disengages the sway bar when you engage the low mode. The sway bar only disconnects at speeds less than 18 mph to help the wheels drop and compress by 25% more. This too gives better traction on uneven surfaces.
